Tanya Michener Receives Leadership Award from Main Street Iowa

Main Street Newton was recognized Friday April 21st at Main Street Iowa Development Awards Banquet celebrated in Des Moines.

Tanya Michener took home the Leadership award. Tanya is a vital member of the Newton Main Street team. She is passionate about volunteering which is essential to improving Newton. Her passion shines to make her community a better place by continuing to increase economic development, all while having historic preservation at the forefront. You can find her serving her community in many ways: as past board president and EV co-chair on NMS, a commissioner on Historic Preservation Commission, and many more roles.
